R.I.P. Bobby Keys

We were saddened today to learn of the passing of the Rolling Stones notorious saxophonist, Bobby Keys. In 1971 Keith Richards moved to a villa in the South of France, where he built the studio the Stones later recorded Exile on Main St.

Bobby Keys was an integral part of the rock-n-roll “family”, Keith had assembled, all living together in the infamous, Villa Nellcote

When we moved from Austin to Saigon, to start this company, we felt a bit exiled ourselves. We proudly settled on the name Nellcote Studio, with hopes of invoking the creativity and rebellious spirit of Richards and Keys.

In 2014 we were graciously invited by the legend himself, Bobby Keys, to see the Stones play Singapore!  The spirit of Nellcote lives on.
